I have asked many a player if they know about the forums. The answer was no for the majority. I remember logging in each morning to find 20 new threads. However, since the death of the player count since 0.62 as we waited so long for 0.63, it has never returned to the old ways of people sharing their ideas and impressive photography in the world of DayZ. I think it may be the fact that the forum is not advertised, and the fact that we have so many new players I believe we should be broadcasting the forums to form a central hub for communication. This can be done simply by having an automatic bot broadcasting the forum to any new player that joins the discord through a private message and having it appear as you log into the server.

It is a waste to have this asset within our community and not have it used to its full potential.

Would anyone have any suggestions for a server wide event that we could host over at the village ingame.

I have had suggestions such as a village quiz with questions revolving around events that have occured since day 1.

Pretty sure that was me when we were at the Zeleno village and then you got shot and couldn't find you until you came back and said you were unconscious for 23 mins.

White listing is another option and having people share their discord names etc can be used as part of the selection process. Also, you could make a rule test before people get into the server to ensure people have read the rules, but I am going to get contradicted because apparently I have been accused of 3rd party now because a few people are salty because of recent in game activities but I shall not share that here.

It was a joke to enlighten the mood of the subject but yah know, guess people have just got stone cold these days.

So we are constantly having issues with people accusing other of using 3rd party, myself included. I have one suggestion for this that if controlled correctly would completely fix the issue, however it would take a lot of administration and possibly require an expansion to the moderation team.

Basically you could make a rule which requires everyone who joins the server to join a discord channel which disables the mic on discord. You may also want to do this for team-speak, you can do the same but would require a team-speak server hosted off the dedi box.

Moderators do not enjoy banning people, but have to do it and for the people who are banned it leaves their friends lonely who then leave the server resulting in a overall decrease in the server population leading to less RP and a more TRIGGERED community. Although this may not entirely solve the issue because of other various methods of 3rd party such as steam voice calling. However, this method would seriously decrease the number of people using 3rd party and possibly make the server a more friendly place to be where we can all get a long both in game and out of game.

After a prolonged break from DayZ Standalone, I have decided to return to the promised land. Many may not have realised my absence, or maybe looked for us Bounty Hunters without any luck. I am returning to hunt the bandits of Cherno, as I am seeing it becoming an increasing problem within the village. My return shall see a newly organised Bounty Hunter faction that you fellow survivors can utilise us to our full potential.
