The Battle of Green Mountain

  • CET 23.00, 08.11.17

Defiled corpses lay strewn across the courtyard of the Green Mountain compound. Tents are unpitched and gear is scattered amongst the smouldering ruins of the trading outpost. The survivors of

Chernarus that have been listening in on the radio on 87.8 are confused and intrigued by a seemingly cheery voice announcing the assumed total destruction of UN. After the radio chatter died down all that is left is a message scribbled on the Green Mountain radio tower.

    Greetings,

Times have been hard. The lands we claimed as our very own hunting grounds were suddenly devoid of life. No one visited the derelict ruins of the airfield any more, we roamed the north day after day, scanning for prey. Our motley crew of rouges grew restless and our resources were depleting fast. In our hunger, we were forced into foreign lands, gathering intelligence and looking for patterns in survivor movements. Murdering groups and survivors but always sparing the defenceless and those surrendering. As is our way. Still, even here, rich picking were far in between. We knew of the Village, but the coast is without honour and we never go there.

One day, we spotted a very large group. They were clad in complete black sneaking around the distillery of Bardak&Sons. We followed them south until we reached

Zelenogorsk. They had evaded us, and the trail was cold. The next day as we doused our fires and prepared to hunt again the welcoming sound of gunshots boomed trough the valley.

The source was the compound at Green Mountain, and it was heavily fortified. Finally! A worthy prize!

The ensuing fight was long and hard, defenders seemed to appear out of thin air. At the very end we heard a lurid voice from the forest, «you suck». We never found him.

We will be back. We will roam the old north.

  • Oh yes despawned the lot after a very short stay at GM however a new force is emerging and will be dealing with bandit factions with a ruthless efficiency never seen before in Chenarus!

Honeyiscool were going to find you one day soon and you wont get chance to fire your weapon.

Imagine you hadnt despawned the tents...... we could've battled again, if you had won their would of been loot now their is nothing and if you hadnt of glitched in 1 guy you wouldnt of got inside.

  • Yes! A thousand pale, unblinking and iridescent eyes shone trough an abysmal gap in reality as we committed this heinous act. They hummed with approval amongst the twinkling of the stars.

We are going to be very easy to find. The derelict chunk of tarmac in the north is a splendid place to start your quest. I name your noble quest "The Fisher King Adventure"!

If we are not at home we are roaming the old north.

  • Ooc: It's important to note though, that this attack started by people glitching through tents to get into the UN base. That's not cool. It's also not cool despawning the entire base, with the hundreds of items we had and also every single tent along with them. We would always prefer a legit attack instead. It's not that hard --you could have camped the frot and attacked when the front gate was opened... Resorting to glitching in order to kill everyone and despawn an entire base is surely against the most basic rules this server has.

  • Glitching, Hacking, Duping et cetera will lead to a permanent ban and will be reported to Steam.”

    From the server rules.

Yes, I have just seen people to go through narrow spaces with running and crouching trick inside their own bases. Just wondering if that is glitching or not. I am planning to do a little base to our Church and was thinking that if that is okay to do myself or is it classified as glitching.

  • ...however a new force is emerging and will be dealing with bandit factions with a ruthless efficiency never seen before in Chenaru

Oh yeah, that's a good way to start an anti-bandit faction. Shoot and kill the guys that were doing it before and then despawn all their tents. Like not even use them your yourselves to build a new base, just erease them?

Man, the future of Chernarus is looking grim if these guys are to be the new force to be reckoned with.

  • My dear boy, you think you're the hunter? Heh, I am the only hunter in these parts. And you don't want to get into the hunter's scope. I recommend you stay away from the village, for you won't be approaching a fortress, but you will be approaching a place ready to be defended if needed.

Killing is only one small aspect of survival. And hardly necessary. A person's desire to kill, is not out of thrive to survive. But rather a false sense of pride, a sick form of amusement, a disgusting form of empowerment. They who feel the need to kill and call it "survival" are just refusing to accept their barbaric ways. Self defence is another matter entirely, but how often is that self defence not against those who feel an unnatural need to harm?

Said they was fair game nothing else. You sound anti- anti bandit faction. Enough bandits in the game ruining Axes trading post and the village as it is without negativity from members friendly to the cause making assumptions. Bit of support Riksu we have stood side by side returning fire at snipers around orvelets and guarding the gate already. Dan (Ex-UN-Major)
