Yup it's part of the game, kinda happy with it even.
can't be sniped from up that far.
No adjustment of color/gamma settings that I'm aware of, and for that I thank the Devs!
Nice to put everyone on the same playing field
.62 gamma was pretty powerful
yeah, I literally didn't see night time for years!

Sadly, that's not the case. We had the situation twice last week, that fog was not equal for all of us. Sometimes, i had a view distance of <100m where my mates could see far in the distance and vice versa. I don't know the cause yet, may be just a bug, but as i said, it happened more than once.
One time i asked a buddy: “how did i get wet?”
“Dude it’s raining!!”
Me: “not for me!!🤔”

That's so true! Happened to me a couple of times.
I heard earlier that atleast fog is on client side instead of server side and if I hear this, whit some own experience of getting wet without rain or being in water, it looks like rain is also client side. Which means that for everybody is different. Heard many times that people I was walking with had fog while I didn't have any and thinking about it I haven't seen fog in a few weeks/months for myself
Weather is server-controlled, it depends on the configuration and the season of the server. This will give the chances of having low or high temp, rain, fog, wind etc.
Problem is, quite often clients get some kind of 'desync' from this system resulting in a different condition for each player. This is a bug, and a member of this community already submited a ticket about it:
