I've noticed a loss of time since I purchased the stand alone version of DayZ. I say to myself I'll only play for a couple of hours, and before you know it, I'm 5+ hours in!
The adventures it brings, the random encounters, random role play scenarios! It just kinda sucks you in right?
Prime example, tonight! I started around 5 pm, I promised my self an early night, finish around 10-11 pm. It's now 1:40 am and I've only just logged off! It was so worth it though!
I found the village, left them a present (mp5 with mag and ammo), then got gunned sown by pesky bandits. I then encountered the french medic and the queens guard Trojan horse (absolute pleasure meeting you both and fighting along side you, special thanks to trojan for collecting uniforms in the future for the cpf). Finally to meet a shot gun face on through my own stupidity and butter fingers.
Is it just me, or do others find themselves loosing time?
Is it just me? - Time keeping.

I straight up can't work from home anymore because I'll "log on just to loot a town" and end up spending 6 hours playing.

I work from home as well and had noticed I was eager to get on dayZ than I was to earn money for the first week. Been able to be strict on myself though and so far managed to get work done before play time

I've found a method, on my working from home office days, DayZ is a reward. Deploying a new VM that will take 30 minutes? Logon, loot, logoff. Lunch time? Oh sure I could eat... OR I could log on, run to the VSS barn, murder a few people, get a massive headache from not eating, and go to bed at 8pm.

You've got it sorted then lol, it's when that 30 min break turns into 3 hours you have to worry lol. I design shirts and sell them on numerous platforms so don't get little breaks here and there. Literally, wake up, coffee, walk the dog, home, coffee and get into work. Aim to do either 20 listings a day or 10 new designs a day. Once I hit one of them quotas, it's game on
